Bachelor degree or equivalent in the area of (Computational) Linguistics, Language Technology, Cognitive Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines.

Proficiency in English (for non-native speakers) must be certified.

The Erasmus Mundus European Masters Programme in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) offers double degree education where every student studies one year each at two different European consortium partner Universities. This masters programme provides students with both theoretical education and practice-based training. Students choose combinations of modules in Language Technology, Computational and Theoretical Linguistics, and Computer Sciences appropriate to their own learning path.

Key features of the European Masters Programme in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) are:

  • The programme consists of Compulsory Modules and Advanced Modules in Language Technology and Computer Sciences, complemented by a Project, and a Masters thesis, for a total of 120 ECTS credits.
  • The Erasmus+ LCT Master has successfully passed the highly competitive selection of the EU. Out of hundreds of study programmes, LCT has once again been considered as one of the best European Master programs and the EU will grant Erasmus Mundus scholarships for another 5 year period.
  • Tuition Fees: For overseas students EUR 8.500 per year / for non-overseas EUR 4.250 per year. Scholarships are available.
  • Admission Requirements:
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in the area of (Computational) Linguistics, Language Technology, Cognitive Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines.
    • Proficiency in English (for non-native speakers) must be certified.
  • Candidates apply online via the online-application form.
