The big challenge that intercultural teams and their leaders face on a daily basis is to create a level of understanding and trust which helps each individual to look beyond the obvious.

The  goal of this intensive workshop is to provide skills and best practices for managing teams of diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

This workshop is designed for managers working with international teams, HR managers/recruiters and expat managers.

What do you get?

  • you get better understanding about your own cultural background and your potential cultural blindspots;
  • you get understanding what drives and motivates people from different cultures;
  • you learn how to interpret cultural differences and the resulting behaviour by applying the four essential dimensions by Prof. Geert Hofstedes model;
  • you learn to built up trust and confidence in teams

The Promise

If you need to be able to make intelligent guesses about what triggers people coming from different cultural backgrounds there is no better tool to achieve this goal than the social psychology model created by Prof. Geert Hofstede. This workshop training will outline the essential 4 perspectives of how the world functions based on the values of cultures where people were born, raised and educated. How those affect their way of thinking, feeling and behaving and how you can learn to read between the lines when dealing with cultural diversity.

How you learn?

The case studies exercises, simulations and other learning elements of the workshop are designed specifically to address common issues and challenges. You get one day of full immersion into world cultures and learn how this translates into business context. Your experience will be implemented in the learning and applying to your specific needs. Michael Siller will challenge your point of view, to make sure that you can expand your way of seeing things and to gain new perspectives.

The workshop will take place on 16 June, 2015 in Berlin.
