A distinctive feature of Business Informatics at TU Berlin is the focus on Computer Science.

By choosing this master program you will study at one of the largest and most respectable schools for Computer Science in Germany. This program is offered by the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in close cooperation with the School of Economics and Management.

Program Structure
This two-year interdisciplinary program has a standard study period of four semesters. The curriculum consists of a more specialized course phase including extracurricular studies (Wahlbereich) (first three semesters) and the Master Thesis (fourth semester).

The specialized course phase equips you with more detailed knowledge and enables you to sharpen your profile – depending on your targeted career and personal interests. Within the three focus areas – Computer Science, Business Informatics, and Economics & Management – you can choose modules from various catalogues, such as Information Systems, Economics for ICT, Data Analytics, Security and Dependability, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, and Economics & Management. An integral part of the program is the compulsory module Application System Project that gives you the opportunity to practice your problem-solving skills and to work as part of a team. The extracurricular studies (Wahlbereich) offer you the possibility to broaden your scientific education and enable you to acquire further knowledge in other topics (e.g. additional language skills). The modules can be chosen freely from the courses offered by TU Berlin or by other universities, equivalent higher education institutions subject to the German Higher Education Framework Act (BerlHG) or foreign higher education institutions and universities recognized to be equivalent. Upon successful completion of the master program you will graduate as Master of Science.
